
Materials: 1 large piece paper, crayons or markers, pen or pencil

1. Take a look at the traditions and history of holidays. Choose a tradition your family looks forward to celebrating. |

|
2. Make an Accordion book of Customs and Traditions. Have your teacher help you fold the paper into a book. |
|
|
|
|
3. Place the paper in front of you horizontally. Fold it in half. Then fold the top page in half by folding it back to meet the fold. |
|
|
|
|
4. Turn the paper over. Fold the top page in half by bringing it back to meet the fold. The accordion is made. |
|
|
|
|
5. Now write a story of your favorite tradition. Draw a picture of one of your family's favorite traditions in the different parts of your book. |
