One day Rosa Parks was riding the bus. African Americans had to sit in the back of the bus. That was the law at that time. Rosa did not give up her seat in the front of the bus. Rosa was taken to jail.

Rosa and other people would not ride buses until the law was changed. The law was changed thanks to them. Everyone could then sit where they wanted on a bus.

Rosa Parks will always be remembered as a person who wanted everyone to be treated fairly.
