César Chávez worked in the fields when he was very young. He and his family worked on a lot of big farms.

César Chávez saw a problem. He thought farm workers should be paid more and live in better homes.

FarmHe helped farmers work together. They wanted good homes and schools for their children. César Chávez and his group got what they wanted.

César Chávez changed the way farmers live and work in America.

Firefighters stop fires from hurting people. They are very important workers. César Chávez believed that every worker is special.

Firefighters wear special clothes so they wonít get burned when they put out fires. They need special tools for the job they do.
