Teaching Tips

Explain to students that many people from throughout the world are working in many ways to preserve nature. You might ask students to choose a contemporary "Earthkeeper Hero" and present a speech about him or her to the class. Have students check out a Web site with links to other Web sites and articles related to John Muir and his followers. There is a link for "Keeping a Natural Journal" with a template.
