More than a half a million people visit Balboa Park in San Diego each year. The park is huge. It includes theaters, gardens, a zoo, a carousel, a miniature railroad and over 10 museums.
The World Beat Center opened in Balboa Park in 1996. The Center is dedicated to celebrating the culture of Africans, African-Americans, and other cultures of the world.
