Make an Ancestor Puppet

   California Standard 2.1 Students differentiate between things that happened long ago and things that happened yesterday.

Materials: Pen or pencil, buttons, yarn, glue, any other materials that can be used to make puppets

 

1. Write a paragraph telling how an ancestor made a difference in your life today.

 
 

2. Launch this history of fashions to see what clothes you might make for your puppet.

 
 

3. Make and decorate a sock puppet using buttons, yarn, glue, or other materials.

 
 

4. Use your ancestor puppet to read your paragraph to the class.
