Martin Luther King, Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. King traveled across America to speak about the rights of all Americans. He gave a famous speech saying, "I have a dream . . . to stand up for freedom together" He wanted all people to have equal rights.

Martin Luther King, Jr. received the Nobel Peace Prize for his work.
