Rachel Carson

California Standard 1.2.4 Describe how location, weather, and physical environment affect the way people live, including the effects on their food, clothing, shelter, transportation, and recreation.

Rachel Carson once wrote, "One way to open your eyes is to ask yourself, 'What if I had never seen this before? What if I knew I would never see it again?'" Rachel Carson saw that people could help plants and animals. They could help by keeping the land and water clean. So she wrote a book to help people open their eyes. They then could see how to take care of Earth.
