Unit 1: We Have Families

Children are invited to explore who they are by answering the question "Who am I?" Children discover their roles in this world and the people involved in it. Prior knowledge will be activated by recalling special memories they have made with their family. They will also discuss how they celebrate special days with their friends and family. They will investigate the many activities that take place at school and they will compare their school to a school in Africa.
