Did You Know?
Thailand is home to more than 900 kinds of birds.


Have you heard of the Karen? Or the Hmong, the Yao, or the Lisu? They all are peoples that live in the hills of Thailand (TIE-land). Thailand is a country in southeast Asia about the size of Texas. It is home to many different peoples, each with a unique culture.

Many Thai live in modern cities. Bangkok, the capital, is home to high-tech electronics factories and other industries.

For this E-Journal project, you will report on Thailand. Here are questions to research.
  • How does daily life in Thailand compare to life in the United States?

  • Who are the Karen? How do they live?

  • What are some religions that people practice in Thailand?

  • What sort of government does Thailand have?
