Investigate

  • Choose and click a sport. Then click the topics to learn more about it.
  • Return home. Explore another sport in the same way.
 
Plan
  • Take notes about the two sports.
  • Think about how the sports are alike and how they are different.
 
Write
  • Use your notes to write an interview.
  • Pretend that you are a sports reporter interviewing an athlete who plays two sports. Ask the athlete to compare the two sports.
 
 
HINT: Remember to use comparing and contrasting words like “the same as” and “more than.”
 
 
Present
  • Practice acting out your interview with a partner. Decide which roles you will play.
  • Then do the same with your partner’s interview.
  • Act out the interviews for your class! Use props, such as pretend microphones and pictures of athletes.
